(More customer reviews)I decided to purchase this watch because I am an employee of Rochester Institute of Technology - a university with a Tiger mascot and school colors of Orange and Brown - and on every Friday of each week, we make an effort to enhance our school spirit by wearing Orange and Brown.

This watch is definitely orange, but it is not brown.Regardless, it really adds character to my dressing up on Fridays.Whether I am wearing an orange shirt or a brown shirt, having this watch on my wrist completes my spirit wardrobe.

Square watches are a classic make and I am real glad to see that trend coming back.That is another reason why I decided to purchase this - because it is square.The band is extremely comfortable and easy to use.The face of the watch has the date, month, and time - all the things I love to have on a watch.It makes things easier for me when I'm looking for something specific - whether it be the date or the time.

I have owned several different Nike watches - the Oregon series (a black one and a red one), the Lance Armstrong chronograph, as well as a USA Nike watch - and this orange square watch is surely a nice addition to my collection.

A real nice watch, for a real nice price!

(More customer reviews)This watch continually has problems.The watch apparently locks up if it encounters any static (back panel is part of the HR sensor).Sometimes it totally freezes, other times the buttons just lock but the watch keeps working.Not recommended at allGood idea, but lousy execution.I only paid $25 for mine and it was too much.If I find instructions on how to reset, I'll also post here.

I find it jazzy, and fun, and not at all "kiddish." :-)

The several choices of animated display look rather Art Moderne. The chunky, square black faux-rivited case is attractive and eye catching. People ask about it all the time.

The style looks casually sophisticated and adult, to me.

But, for those who don't like the red resin watch band (I like it!), there's a very attractive shiny, faceted black resin model.

The price is the best on the Net. Delivery is lightening fast.

(More customer reviews)Nice looking watch, comfortable band and easy to read if your eyes are as old as mine. I've had it about six weeks now and I've worn it working, fishing and swimming. My only complaint is that it runs a little fast, a couple minutes a week but it's easy to adjust. My old Seiko spoiled me. It was a kenetic and I only adjusted the time twice a year for daylight savings, but it was a more expensive. I'm pleased with the watch and would recommend it.

Casio Men's PAW500-1V Pathfinder Solar Atomic Watch Review

(More customer reviews)I have had this watch for about two months now, and am quite happy with it. Compared to my old watch (a very cheap Casio) it is much better.
There are several points, specifically, that attracted me to this watch:

1. Its overall durability.The strap, for instance, instead of connecting directly to the body, connects to a little hinge that prevents it from being broken off(the way it did on my old watch).
2. Multiple alarms (5, to be exact).Very useful for when you need to store several times.
3. 24 hour count-down timer.Useful for all sorts of little things.
4. Solar power and auto-synchronization.No more batteries to worry about (although people in more northerly latitudes will probably have to give it an occaisional boost with indoor lighting), and you know that it's never far off from the correct time(according to the product specs, it's accurate to about a half second per day, so even if you can't synchronize every night, it's no big deal).I haven't had too much trouble with getting it to synchronize each night, either.As long as it points towards a window, it seems to be fine.
5. The barometer, altimeter, and thermometer are nice extras, although I don't rely too much on what they say.You can calibrate them to be more exact, but I haven't really felt a need to do so.The barameter readout of the pressure over the last few hours is handy, as it can inform you of a low pressure system moving in.

Overall, I found this watch to be just what I expected, a sturdy watch with enough extra functions (stopwatch, timer, alarms, etc) to be useful, without becoming so complicated you need a degree to use it.Its size is a good fit for my medium-sized wrist, and is relatively unobtrusive.Congrats to Casio for making a such a great product.

Tide function of the Casio watches is the only one I've found you can custom set up by the lunitidal interval for any given area. Granted, it's tricky and requires you to look up the info yourself and put that interval in but the manual does come with a sizeable list intervals of beaches all over the world. If you care to you can program it to your beach based on your local info. A quick search on the web will yield instructions on how to do this.
