(More customer reviews)After extensive searching on the Amazon site, this is the best simple digital watch I could find. All of the higer end digitals seem to be clunky abstract designs, or loaded with more functions than I care to name. It is solidly built, slightly heavy and looks very stylish without being overstated- in my opinion.
It is not for everyone. If you need a bunch of bells and whistles like temperature or a compass you should look elsewhere. This has just a simple time/alarm/lap timer watch, the basic functions most people need.
The display is easy to read with large numbers in reverse contrast(the display is opaque and the numbers are clear).The backlight is a soft blue tone, looks good, slightly underpowered, but gets the job done. The buttons are large and easily cycle through the various watch functions. The band will probably need adjustment unless you have unusually thick wrists, and I would recommend a watchsmith for this unless you are experienced and have the necessary tools. The clasp is very nice and double secured with a double button interlock and a safety hasp.
I have been wearing mine 24/7 for the last 2 weeks with moderate abuse. there are only minor scuff marks on the clasp where it is constantly contacting table surfaces. Although I have accidentally smacked the face of the watch several times, suprisingly it doesn't have a single scratch yet. The manufacturer states the watch is water resistant to 330 feet, but I have only exposed it to hand washing and a few showers- still no signs of leaks.
All in all, if you're looking for a simple digital watch with nice clean design and sturdy craftsmanship, you'll be hard pressed to do better than this one.
